This year's keynote address, "Artificial Intelligence in Qualitative Data Analysis: A Polemic," will be given by Michael Duke, PhD., Director of Qualitative Research, Benioff Homelessness & Housing Initiative, University of California, San Francisco.

The OUHS Qualitative Methods Community of Practice (QMCOP) and the TSET Health Promotion Research Center invite you to submit an abstract for presentation at the annual Colloquium on Qualitative Health Sciences Research.

The 2025 Colloquium offers an opportunity for students, trainees, public health professionals, faculty, and community members to present studies that are either completed or works in progress.

However, you can register to attend as a presenter or non-presenter. Registration and attendance are free. This will be a come-and-go event! All are welcome from any university or affiliation.

  • When: May 9th, 2025 – 11:30am – 4pm CST
  • Where: In person and virtual (via Zoom). 
  • Physical Event Location: Hudson College of Public Health, Room CHB150 | 801 NE 13th St, Oklahoma City. Optional Mixer to Follow at Skydance Brewing!
  • Post-event Mixer Location: Skydance Brewing 1 NE 7th St Suite A, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
  • Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline: March 21, 2025
  • Acceptance Notification: April 7, 2025. Abstracts will be accepted for oral presentation (hybrid) or poster presentation (in person only)
  • Awards: $250 Student & Trainee Prizes for best poster & oral presentations (2 prizes total)
  • Conference Proceedings: Abstracts will be published on this website after the event
  • Lunch: Catered lunch will be provided for in-person attendees (vegan and vegetarian options)
  • Parking: Parking will be free in Lot 14E with the potential of overflow being directed to Lot 13R in between Phillips Ave and NE 13th street, on the north side of the Hudson College of Public Health. Parking passes will be distributed closer to the event via email. You must print the pass and display this on your dashboard while at the event.
  • Event Catering: Catering will be provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available.
